Logo-a-go-go
new logos by moi. The first is my Interior Design logo (intended for use in my graduate portfolio) & the other is my original logo, which will possibly be used primarily for my photography. I can’t decide if I want to use the second splash logo for my photography, or just scrap it & use a typography logo of my name or initials instead for watermarks or something. I definetly like the chair though, it’s so me. Any suggestions?

Graduate Woes
Yahooo! It’s official (not truly “official”, that won’t be the case until I actually have degree in hand), but none-the-less, I have made my Graduate Portfolio Review announcements and am on the fast (and oh is it approaching fast) track to getting out of the Art Institute of Charlotte and working my way up (& to Italy!), hence why I have been such a blogging slack ass.
If you are intrigued, by all means stop by and take a gander at my (hopefully!) winning portfolio design & presentation at Byron’s on South End March 20th. If I’m not mistaken review will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 that Thursday evening. Bring a friend, and/or potential high paying employer for yours truly. Now…what to do with this BA in Interior Design that I have really busted my butt for & this blosoming freelance photography business? Hmm. I vote run off to Florence.
On another note of change, Marshall officially leaves for the Army tomorrow. We have been celebrating it all week, and I couldn’t be happier for him, but I surrreee am gonna miss him. We’re a tough duo though, so it will be fine, just sad.
Send me kisses.

Pre-Wedding Jitters of the Point and Click Kind.
Melissa, fiance of Aaron and long time friend handed me this beautifully hand crafted wedding invitation a few nights ago while gathered ’round the card table, a long with a very intimidating threat: “Here’s your invitation Goodwin…we’re still waiting for you be in on our pictures !”.
Gulp.
It is true, they have asked me several times on several occasions to be their wedding photographer. They first casually proposed the idea to me months ago when the speak of wedding was leveled only at a whisper. I graciously thanked them for the opportunity but stressed that I would rather go and actually ENJOY their wedding rather than having anxiety over the lack of photo-opts or terrible lighting (You know, those senseless worries us photographers create to make matters worse). They moved on and began their search for another photographer. That other photographer is yet to be booked. Aaron has since proposed the idea to me again, this time with time running out and with some revisions. He noted that they would be willing to forfeit the reception pictures (which is really want I want to enjoy—and what makes the price sky rocket) in the event that I agree to be their photographer. Soooo tempting. I have done two other weddings and I have to say I don’t know how I feel about them. It’s tough, and not really my forte. In the same regard, I will be there, right next to whoever they would book instead of me taking photographs regardless, so why no do it and get paid! It’s what I do…and we all know I can always use some money to support my ridiculous addictions (jeans, that is). I am going to give it a few more days while I gather a quote for them, but I think I am going to just break down and say yes. I would be a fool otherwise.
Any tips?
