Overdose.

How many sites can you possibly have? In attempts to revamp my website and market myself a gazillion different ways, I have logged on and signed up for a million trillion hibbityzillion different blogs, hosting sites, photo sites, and network builders….from Design portfolio sites like Design Related to showcase my portfolio to this blog, a photoblog, my OBSESSIVE compulsion to Flickr daily and lord knows what else. I think it may be time I condense. I just love to network online, see what other people are doing, share ideas and be apart of all of the fun. I think it may be time though that I break it down to my in the works nicer flash site with just my photography, a online design portfolio site like my Design related or something for my ID portfolio anddddddd this. Maybe link my photo website to a photoblog like my Flickr or tumblr or something…I don’t know….but I really just can’t keep up with all of this online networking. Call me a slacker…but I don’t know how some of you people manage! Getting sucked into Facebook bumpersticker browsing is enough to stress me out about wasting my time! ;)

(I won’t lie….I do love to blog :) )

Whew.

Any ideas, or super clever all-in-one websites I don’t know about someone would like to share?  Or invent, rather?

Once Upon a Dream

Once Upon a Dream
Often times I look back at things in my life and ask myself “Did that really happen?  Did I really do that, or was that a dream?”  So many things seem so distant, or even far fetched, that I forget they even occured.  Like my shop, for example.  Looking back, it’s hard to fathom that ten years ago I was perched up in my 20×20 gift shop, doing homework and ordering new merchandise, managing and and operating a full fledged, freestanding business on my own (well, with my parents financial backing, ofcourse).  Wow.  Mommalouz.  Did that really exist?  Yes, it did, as my friends should know.  They made it their hang out spot for three years it was open :)   Right before I turned sixteen I closed it down to focus on more important things…like boyfriends and volleyball?  shesh.  Still so hard to believe I did that.  Even harder to believe that my parents (emphasis on my Mom), encouraged and supported the idea.  I miss that little place, and all those guy friends of mine that would bring me Chinese food everyday for dinner :)

And what about Hawaii?  Were Sarah and I really there for a month?  Was my tan really that pimp?  Did we really bounce from island to island, condo to condo like it was our job?  Did the school seriously let us take off our first semester of our Senior year to go to Hawaii, with no educational purpose, other than to kick it?  Yeah.  They did.  Did we really go to NYC and Delaware and Hawaii and took online English classes with Mrs. Smith?  Did our classmates despise us when we reluctantly returned to finish our Senior year of highschool?  Yes, they did.  :)

Is it true that I spent some of the most amazing three months of my life exploring Europe with six girls that I will forever call my best friends now?  Did we really go to Madrid? Was I really wearing a white jacket on white jacket hooker street?  (hahah).  Did we REALLY just make that flight?  Did Cat REALLY dissapear from Oktoberfest ;) , leaving the story up for speculation until this very day?  ;)

So many events in my life seem so hard to comprehend.  It all seems like a foggy dream.  Often times it feels like I have met so many people and done so many ridiculous things that it all can’t be true.  I am eternally grateful for all of those ventures, explorations, long nights out, people that were right there alongside me, and people who forever supported me.

To dreams come true, xoxox.

As If I Weren’t Already Enough…

Her Day

Originally uploaded by Ashley S. Goodwin

Last night I decided to actually stop stalking and start submitting to the Flickr 365 project. If you are not familiar, it’s a group (or several, rather) on Flickr where you submit a picture of yourself from that day 365 days out of the year. WOWZA, I know. I have played around with the idea, mentally, of course, and have never truly committed. It’s terrifying, but I am going to do it. I expect a lot of change this year (for the good, naturally), so I would love to document it all. So here goes….here’s hoping I won’t drop out!
(I can hardly handle 365 of me…so good luck to ya’ll!”
